Dr. Vasileios Kalles

  • ResumeVasileios Kalles graduated from the Military School of Combat Support Officers and the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2008 and is currently serving as a Medical Officer in the Hellenic Navy. He is a resident in General Surgery at the Naval and Veterans Hospital of Athens, while working towards a PhD degree on breast cancer at the 1st Propaedeutic Surgical Clinic of the Medical School of Athens. His research focuses mainly on cancer biology, surgical oncology, minimally invasive surgery and human anatomy. He has worked with the 1st Propaedeutic Surgical Clinic of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the Laboratory of Anatomy of the School of Nursing, University of Athens, and the Research Center of the Hellenic Anticancer Institute. He has participated in 15 studies published in peer-reviewed journals and more than 70 presentations in national and international conferences. He is a founding member of the Society of Junior Doctors and member of the Scientific Committee.
